20 junio, 2019

A record-breaking 74,000 visitors travelled to Cologne for the world’s leading trade fair for furniture industry suppliers, now in its 60th anniversary year. At Interzum, Rehau can look back at a week of interesting, exciting and motivating discussions with furniture experts from all over the world.

20.06.2019 With our #futureapartment concept and new products from our edgeband, surface and tambour door system ranges, we inspired our audience and also won them over with solutions that are ready for use, says Jochen Luft, Rehau Sales Manager for the Industry.

The event began with an award: Matthias Pollman, head of Koelnmesse’s trade fair management division, presented Rehau with a certificate in recognition of the company’s loyalty to interzum, the leading global trade fair for furniture production and interiors. Rehau has taken part in every interzum trade fair since it was first held in 1959. This year, interzum was bigger and more international than ever before. The trade fair attracted 74,000 visitors from 152 countries to Cologne, where they discovered inspiring concepts for living environments of the future.

There was plenty of inspiration to be had at the Rehau stand in particular. Taking centre stage was the Future apartment, a special exhibit which allowed Rehau to showcase the very latest surface technologies that offer intelligent and emotive added value.

New products

The interactive design of the special exhibit thrilled the international audience and also enabled more new products to be demonstrated using real applications: the new colour concepts for surfaces, the patterns, the versatile Rauvisio surface range and the Rauvolet tambour door collection that makes smart room layouts possible. Through these numerous innovations, Rehau clearly showed where the future of furniture design is headed – towards creating individual living concepts with products that have many variations.

Interzum 2019 was a resounding success for us. With this year’s highlights from our surface, edgeband and tambour door system ranges, we were able to present a wide selection of new, innovative products and enhanced services. We showed the direction Rehau intends to take in the future: towards smart furniture solutions that combine design and functionality in equal measure, said Thomas Ponater, Rehau Sales Manager of the Furniture Solutions Division.
