Schock sustainability

In coining the term Sink Green, Schock, the innovative manufacturer of quartz composite sinks and supplier of high-grade mixer taps, not only gives its longstanding drive for sustainability a name but at the same time makes plain its ambition to usher all of its processes and products into a sustainable future. This has resulted in a world first, the Cristadur Green Line, a premium sink material consisting of over 99% natural, renewable or recycled raw materials, which redefines the concept of sustainability in the sink market; but Schock would not be Schock if there weren’t also lots of new product innovations. Sink models, mixer taps, accessories and new colours, that emphasise the Colour Your Life claim.

Cristadur Green Line, example of Schock sustainability

The Cristadur Green Line is the most sustainable quartz composite sink ever made by Schock. With natural quartz sand being the main constituent in the product, quartz composite sinks are already produced in harmony with nature and the environment. The Cristadur Green Line is the sink for all those who want an even more sustainable product. The models in the Cristadur Green Line series consist of >99% natural, renewable or recycled raw materials. And that’s not all. The sink can be returned to Schock at the end of its life to go into the company’s closed cycle of sustainability. There, it will be reused in the production of new sinks without any loss of quality. This option is available in the German market initially.

The Cristadur Green Line is naturally manufactured with all the premium quality features inherent in Cristadur and is being launched in two different colours: Night and Day. Back in 2013, Schock already unveiled its blackest black in the form of Puro – a true shade of jet black. Now the innovation leader is taking it one step further with the new colours Day and Night. Night embodies a truly intense graphite black, while Day offers the sharpest possible contrast: the whitest of pure whites that Schock has ever made.

Kallio M-175, the new model for the Cristadur Green Line

A new design highlight stylishly emphasises the sustainable material that constitutes the Cristadur Green Line Kallio (898 x 630 mm; suitable for a 90 cm cabinet) has been designed in a contemporary country kitchen look and fits perfectly into classic or Scandi-style kitchens with its straight-line, cubic modular design. The generous main basin offers space for large pots and pans or a spot of indoor gardening. A smaller second basin provides a useful place for preparing food. The front edge of the basin is slightly slanted for ergonomic effect: perfect for leaning baking trays against it for intensive cleaning.

The two drainboards are designed to be functional and practical places to put things down. While the right-hand drainer with its length-wise grooves serves as a place to keep dishwashing utensils, the left-hand drainer with the width-wise grooves is a non-slip space for standing up and draining chopping boards or plates. Kallio combines perfectly with the new trim options in matt black Puro and a matching coloured mixer tap.

TIA D-100: new, compact food prep assistant

The timeless, harmonious design of the Cristadur TIA series from Schock with its straight lines is one of the highlights in the product portfolio. Now the series is being expanded with a new model. The Tia D-100 (860 x 500 mm; suitable for a 50 cm cabinet) comes in premium-quality Cristadur and is available in 8 radiant colours, including Puro, the blackest black and a hallmark of the range since 2013. The compact, straight-line design with an all-round rim gives the sink the look of a shell and ensures that water and dirt remain within the sink area. The functional highlight is the integral lip inside the basin, which allows you to hang accessories around the edge or place them on top of the sink with ease.

With a range of versatile accessories such as the functional bowl set and the racks to hold Gastronorm trays, the TIA series is a compact food prep assistant for ambitious amateur chefs. Its premium character is underlined by the variety of design upgrades available. These include matching trim in six different finishes, chopping boards and a designer drain rack. In addition, as with all Cristadur models, the warranty on this premium sink can be extended to 15 years.

New Schock mixer taps

Sustainability calls for products that last. The longer a product is in use, the better it is for the environmental footprint. This is the approach Schock also follows with its mixer tap designs.

Epos is a mixer tap with an L-shaped spout, available in chrome and various Cristadur colours. It is optionally available with a fixed spout or – especially practical for filling containers – a pull-out spout Also new in the Schock portfolio is Metis, an elegant, simple model available in chrome or stainless steel look and featuring the lever on top.

Keto is a new addition to the stainless steel range, boasting an L-shaped spout and a tapered body. This makes the edgeless mixer tap particularly easy to clean. While the ultra-quiet aerator comes with this tap as standard, customers can choose between a fixed or a pull-out spout, as with all of the new models. The range of new mixer taps is completed by the SC-510 ND. This low-pressure coloured mixer tap is equipped with the patented sleeve technology that means one thing above all else: this model is a real eye-catcher! Customers can choose between Cristalite and Cristadur colours for the sleeve – and the Cristadur Green Line colours Day and Night are also available.

The new accessories

Besides sinks and mixer taps, the Schock product portfolio is characterised by a range of custom-fit functional accessories. Chopping boards, drainers, crockery baskets, steam cooking containers and much more make the sink the perfect all-rounder. There are some updates here too: The designer washing-up liquid dispenser Samo is practical and adapts to its surroundings with a variety of finishes available. Samo is already available in chrome and stainless steel. From 2021 on it also matches the White Gold, Copper, Gunmetal as well as the new matt black Puro finish. And on that subject, the matt black look – one of the latest trends in the kitchen sphere – is available not only for Samo but also as a new colour coating for sink trim parts. With six different looks on offer, Schock now creates the perfect match between Cristadur sinks, soap dispensers and matt black taps.
