The Süddekor Group enters a new home port: after its debt write-off, the firm has now a new owner.

The Süddekor Group, with its companies Süddekor GmbH in Laichingen, Dakor Melamin Imprägnierungen GmbH in Heroldstatt, Süddekor Art Design + Engraving GmbH in Willich and Süddekor LLC (USA) and Süddekor OOO (Moscow), is to be transferred to Surteco SE (Buttenwiesen-Pfaffenhofen) subject to the usual formalities, conditions and official approvals. On October 23, 2013 a purchase agreement was signed to this effect.

Süddekor

Extremely good news for the companies of the Süddekor Group, which went through two private equity sales in 2004 and 2007, and for its employees. With the purchase of all the shares in the Group by Surteco SE, Süddekor now belongs to a strong corporate group.  A constellation that in future will play a leading role in the market for decorative surfaces and offers the Swabian company a stronger future-oriented perspective.

With Surteco SE, a strong partner has been found as a buyer for the Süddekor Group, states Dr. Steffen Griffel from the Süddekor management. We are convinced that this constellation represents a stable, innovative and strategically viable solution for the company and also for the employees.

Dr. Christian Rolfs, the present Chairman of the Management Board of the 2D Group, will leave the company by mutual agreement once the purchase process has been completed to accept a new challenge in another company in an unrelated industry.

Approval of the debt write-off: Süddekor achieves an important
milestone in its financial restructuring
A week ago, COCINA INTEGRAL knew that, by agreement between the management, owner, banks and other creditors, the capital structure of 2D Holding GmbH had been improved by the takeover of financial liabilities by shareholders of the 2D Group, effective 1 October 2013.

The capital structure of the 2D Group had, thereby, been sustainably reconstructed. This step, according the firm, gave the 2D Group increased flexibility in order to continue to play a deciding role in the industrial surface finishing market.
