SADECC: a quality edition

For its 4th edition, the SADECC (Trade Fair for the Development of Kitchens and Kitchen Specialists), held in Lyon Eurexpo from Friday 12 to Monday 15 April, welcomed 10,474 visitors over four days, or 11.5% more than in 2011 (9,391 visitors in 2011);.

Kitchen specialists working for brands and multi-brands represented 56.6% of visitors, (5,925 people). Installers and craftsmen represented 11.8% of visitors, (1,245 people).

These professionals were able to discover the new products and kitchen ranges from 170 brands in an exhibition space extending over 18,000 m² at the only French trade show dedicated exclusively to the world of kitchens. The 2013 edition marked the occasion with the SADECC Trophies"nominations for which were entrusted to a jury of experts chaired by Sylvie Adigard, France Télévisions and journalist Gérard Laizé, CEO of VIA.

SADECC 2013 also provided an opportunity for Franck Lehuédé, Research Officer – Senior Project Manager Consumption Department at CREDOC (Research Centre for the Study and Observation of Living Conditions) to present the first study devoted to: The Kitchen Market in France. Changes 2011-2012 Perspectives 2013-2015.

The SADECC Trophis 2013-2014
On Friday, 12 April 2013 in the Conference Area of the SADECC, the jury for Trophies Sadecc 2013-2014, under the leadership of its copresidents Sylvie Adigard and Gerard Laizé, announced the names of the winners.

The SADECC 2013-2014 Trophies are placed under the authority of a panel of a committee of professionals in the design world, journalists and opinion leaders. For this fourth edition, two exceptional Special Prizes were awarded besides the trophies due to the quality of applications:

-The Special Jury Prize in the furniture category went to the Leicht brand for their new +Xtend kitchen, whose system of light-filled aluminium shelves that fold on simply being pushed offered a convincingly innovative approach to space.
-The Special Jury Prize for appliances went to the Smeg brand for its Linea SFP140 Smeg Elite Oven and its integrated approach to the kitchen appliances/sink area.

Arredo, Arrital, Gaggeanau, Falmec, Tactea, Blum and Domelia were other award-winning brands

The 5th SADECC will be held in Lyon Eurexpo in April 2015.
